I’m so glad that the research paper is over and now its time for finals. This semester has gone by so fast and I have learned so much. I enjoyed the many group discussions in class, it helped explain questions i had in certain areas. The hard part is over, now its time so study for finals.

I finally finished my drama essay. Im gonna do some final revisions before i turn it in tomorrow, but other than that I’m finished. The helpful links helped me in my writtings alot. I’m so glad im finished, essays just arent my thing. Im ready to move on to the next assignment ! Im also looking forward to going to REN FEST. I’m very happy to obtain extra credit for somthing i was already going to go too!!!

Othello

I really enjoyed watching the modern version of Othello. Although,this isnt the first time ive seen it, it helped explain in terms that i understood. I honestly think Shakespeare has a really weird and twisted mind. It just seems like most of his plays bring out the “crazy” in people and he likes to take it to the extreme. I think thats what makes his plays entertaining, and i enjoy reading them a lot.

Ch. 26 Poem

The poem “Lady Lazarus” in chapter 26 is a very symbolic poem. Throughout the poem the author uses imagery that is somewhat over the top. For example the line ” My face featureless, fine Jew linen”. This somewhat compares herself to the holocast, which to me is over the top. The way the girl in the poem wishes to kill herself but never can succeed. To me killing herself is just a show for attention. The way i see it if she wanted to do it she would do it and never fail. I had to read this poem a few time to get the real meaning. It was really deep and made you think outside the box.

Ive decided on an poem for my essay. The first time i read ” The one Girl at the Boys’ party, I enjoyed it. It brought me back to that childhood awkwardness were boys are grossed out by girls and vice versa. The descriptions in this poem draws a great picture in my head to understand the feeling the author is trying to portay

“Ode To Friday”

The first time i read this poem it gave me the same feeling as the author who wrote it. Every description of every day of the week was exact to the way i feel. This is why i liked this poem. It gave a person feeling from another that i can relate to. Some people may feel differently about the days of the week, but this poem gave me a some what sarcastic feeling towards the hate of Monday and the love for Friday. It might sound super cliche but i like the rhyme scheme in this poem. It made perfect sense throughout the poem and made it humorous. This poem gave characteristics to each day of the week and made you use your imagination. I love writings where you can strive your imagination. Throughout this poem i can paint a picture in my head. In my opinion poems, or any writings that allow you to paint a visual in your head are more entertaining. It allows you to enjoy reading if your someone like me who doesnt nessasarily love to read.
